Based to the report published by American Diabetes Association, up to more then 20 millions people in the US have Diabetes. The report also stated that 1/3 of these diabetic patients have not yet been diagnosed. About 90% of these patients have Diabetes Type 2, also used to called as Adult-Onset Diabetes. The 10% left is people who suffer Type 1 diabetes, also used to called as Juvenile Diabetes.
One crucial step to do for diabetic people, no matter the type of diabetes they suffer, is by reducing the blood glucose levels so patients can control the disease easily. There are several steps they can do to be able to lower blood sugar levels. Here are several of them.
Exercise
Having simple exercise about 15 minutes per day can help them to reduce blood sugars levels. I understand that some people don’t like exercise, or maybe they suppose they don’t have the time for it because of their tight schedule. If it is your problem, you can help yourself by finding something you might like to do. If you like running or swimming, that’s great. But if it is not your hobby, there are still a lot of easy activities you can do to help yourself involved into this habit. All you have to do is spare sometimes doing something. You can take a walk around the block, bring your dog along with you. In the home or office you can walk to the stairs up and down at about 15 minutes. This way you can easily burn the calories which can help you lower blood sugar levels fast.
Diet
There is really no plain rules regarding diabetes diet since it may need the right plan depends on the type of diabetes and how serious it is. But, generally, most diabetes people can easily control the blood glucose by consuming few meals every two or three hours. You also need to control what you eat. Consume more high fiber foods and reduce consuming high carbohydrate and high calories food.
Weight Loss / Muscle Building
There are several studies show that there is a close relation among diabetes, especially diabetes type 2, with excess weight and obesity. Burning the unwanted weight can help you lowering the blood glucose levels much easier. Increasing the muscle mass can also help you reducing the glucose levels since it will burn more calories to build the muscle mass.
Natural Cures for Diabetes
In this case I have to warn you if there are plenty of scams, especially on internet, which claim they can offer a natural treatment of for an easy and cheap cost. Up to now, there is no real proof that these products are effective. The right way to cure the diabetes is by make a change on your lifestyle into a right one. But, there are still several natural medications for diabetics that can help you reduce your blood glucose levels.
Reducing blood glucose levels is not an easy task since there are many elements you have to consider. You have to monitor the diet and you also have doing some exercises. Some people do have good results from the diabetes supplements. At this level, you also have to test and monitor your glucose levels regularly since there are several cases that people experience low blood sugar after doing these procedures.
